During our wedding, while my husband and I were cutting the cake, he suddenly pushed me from behind. I fell straight into the cake, ruining my dress and everything around me — while my husband stood there laughing. 😢😨
I had been waiting for our wedding for many months. I saved money and planned every detail, because I wanted that day to be exactly how I had imagined it. The dress, the bouquet, the hairstyle, the cake — everything was chosen in advance, with love and patience.
The celebration started beautifully. The guests were smiling, music was playing, and I caught myself thinking that everything had finally turned out perfectly. But very soon I noticed that my husband was drinking too much. He had always been reserved and serious, but that day it felt like he had become a different person. I tried not to pay attention, kept smiling, and convinced myself it was just nerves.
My husband kept making stupid jokes and dancing like a madman. He grabbed my hand roughly and laughed at inappropriate moments. By the middle of the evening, he had already argued with my brother, and it almost turned into a fight. I still hoped that would be the end of it. But no — it only got worse…
When we approached the wedding cake, the room went silent. I took the knife and smiled at the guests — and at that moment my husband suddenly pushed me from behind. I lost my balance and fell straight into the cake, and then onto the floor.
Cream was everywhere. My dress, my hair, my makeup — everything was ruined in one second. I was sitting on the floor, crying.
“What did you do?” I asked.
My husband just laughed and said it was a “cool joke.” He didn’t care about my tears. Some of the guests supported him, saying I was exaggerating and that I shouldn’t ruin the celebration over something so small.
In that moment, I realized I could not forgive my husband’s cruel “joke.” I did something that made him sober up instantly — and later deeply regret what he had done. 😢😨

Part 2 in the first comment
At that moment, something inside me broke. I stood up, wiped my face, and calmly said:
“If you ruined the most important day of our lives, then you will ruin my life too.”
I took all the wedding gifts and announced that the wedding was canceled. Without making a scene or raising my voice, I simply walked out of the venue.
A few days later, I went on the honeymoon — alone. And with the gift money, I bought myself a car.
Now he can deal with the consequences on his own.
